OpenAIは16日(米国時間)、コーディングエージェント「Codex」の大規模アップデートを開始した。これまでの「コーディング」だけでなく、computer use(コンピューター操作)や画像生成に対応し、より広範な開発作業を可能とする。
OpenAIはAIコーディング支援ツール「Codex」を大幅に刷新し、PC画面を視覚的に認識して直接操作する「自律型UI操作」など多くの機能を導入した。外部ツール連携やメモリ機能によって複雑な事務作業や長期プロジェクトの自律的な遂行を支援する。
米OpenAIは2026年4月16日、AIコーディング支援ツール「Codex」のデスクトップアプリをアップデートし、PCを自律的に操作する新機能を追加した。画面認識によるマウスやキーボードの直接操作が可能となり、単なるコード生成から、複数のタスクをバックグラウンドで並行処理する汎用的な作業エージェントへと移行した。
