米OpenAIは2026年4月16日、AIコーディング支援ツール「Codex」のデスクトップアプリをアップデートし、PCを自律的に操作する新機能を追加した。画面認識によるマウスやキーボードの直接操作が可能となり、単なるコード生成から、複数のタスクをバックグラウンドで並行処理する汎用的な作業エージェントへと移行した。
