Microsoftが3月26日にリリースしたWindows 11向けのプレビュー更新プログラム「KB5079391」の配布が一時停止された。KB5079391のインストールを試みるとエラー「0x80073712」が発生し、インストールに失敗するケースが確認されたという。Microsoftはエラーの概要を発表するにとどめており、原因や影響範囲などは明らかになっていない。

DirectXのエラーコード、WindowsのネイティブAPIで使われているNTSTATUSエラーコード、デバイスマネージャーのエラーコード、ブルースクリーンエラー（BSOD）で表示されるSTOPコード、およびネットワーク関連のエラーコードに対応しており、入力されたエラーコードに該当するエラーの内部名、重要度、説明文を検索することができる。
